Russian forces has intensified attacks on electrical systems over recent weeks, while officials has called for "substantial measures" from allies to exert influence on Russia.

"What's needed is not window dressing but decisive action - from the US, the EU and the G7 - in supplying air defence systems and enforcing penalties," mentioned in a social media post.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and several dozen rockets attacked the country's power systems, describing such attacks as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

Energy officials said Russia was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were striving to restore power.
